Our evening program begins at 7:00 p.m. each day. This schedule is subject to change.
  • Saturday, June 13: Welcome to Strings All-Instruments Master Class presented by Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist, Philadelphia Orchestra, featuring competition winners and other All-Stars from last year's Strings International Music Festival program.
  • Sunday, June 14: Faculty Recital, featuring members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Monday, June 15: Pool Party.
  • Tuesday, June 16: Strings 2008 Concerto Competition.
  • Wednesday, June 17: Master Classes presented by members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Thursday, June 18: All-Star Solo Performance Hour.
  • Friday, June 19: Chamber Music with Members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Saturday, June 20: Strings Camp performance at Philadelphia Orchestra's Mozart Festival in the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
  • Sunday, June 21: Faculty Recital, featuring members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Monday, June 22: Philadelphia Orchestra Concert at the Mann Music Center.
  • Tuesday, June 23: Ocean City Pops Concert featuring Strings 2007 Concerto Competition winner.
  • Wednesday, June 24: Strings International Music Festival Chamber Music Recital.
  • Thursday, June 25: Strings International Music Festival Chamber Music Recital and College Solo Performance Hour.
  • Friday, June 26: Special Gala Grand Finale and Concert featuring all Strings International Music Festival orchestras.
Festival Highlights:

Strings Camp offers an immersion in classical music education and performance including:
  • Two private lessons with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra! Additional private lessons are available. See Fee Schedule for information.
  • Master Classes with members of the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Faculty concerts featuring members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Daily Orchestra rehearsals.
  • Required daily private practice, with limited practice coach availability.
  • Solo performance hours with faculty pianist.
  • Group trip to Philadelphia Orchestra performance at the Mann Music Center or new Kimmel Center. Previous excursions have included private, after-concert meetings with Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman. To see photos, click HERE.
  • Concerto Competition - winners of our Concerto Competition will perform as soloists with the popular Ocean City Pops Orchestra in Ocean City, New Jersey.
  • Kimmel Center Competition for violin and cello students. Winners of this competition will perform on-stage duo concerto performance at the Kimmel Center with Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist, Philadelphia Orchestra or other member of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • Choir
  • Ear Training and other music education classes.
  • Optional Chamber Music Program.
  • Gala Grand Finale Concert featuring all Strings Festival orchestras.
  • Swimming, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and more during free time.

 

A limited enrollment of only 300 students enables our world-class faculty to work
closely, and often individually, with Strings Camp students.
