The PIMF Music House Program For College Students & Young Professionals
We are pleased to present a program through which college students and young professionals work for 17 days with Principal players and other members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, on the magnificent grounds of Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. This tailor-made music festival experience emphasizes solo performance, practice technique, chamber music, orchestral audition preparation, concerto competitions, and technique and pedagogy. Winners of our concerto competitions perform on-stage duo concertos with Kimberly Fisher, and students accepted to the program perform in a chamber group which opens for The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Mann Music Center or Kimmel Center in Philadelphia! Our teaching and master class faculty includes members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, including the following principal players: Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist; Dara Morales, Assistant Principal Second Violinist; Choong-Jin Chang, Principal Violist; Kerri Ryan, Assistant Principal Violist; Joseph Conyers, Assistant Principal Bassist; Ricardo Morales, Principal Clarinetist; Mark Gigliotti, Co-Principal Bassoonist; David Bilger, Principal Trumpetist; Matthew Vaughn, Associate Principal Trombonist; Don Liuzzi, Principal Timpanist, and others!
